gen3 headlight assembly internals

does anyone else have a little metal shroud that surrounds the bulb inside the headlight? i jus installed silverstars in my car and noticed they're not much brighter and i looked into the lens (with the lights off of course :p ) and noticed a metal thing screwed intot he rear of the headlight assembly. it almost completely shields the light bulb. the hi beam side has nothing in it. anyone know where the screws are to take the whole headlight assembly out of the car? i wanna take out so i can dissassemble it and remove taht shroud

hmm, on a 2nd look, that shroud is only covering the very top of the bulb where the cap is, so i may not take it apart
