3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have a question. I am thinking of putting "JDM" Style racing seats in my car. They come with universal sliders and are brand new. Is $225.00 a good price for a set and its a local pick up:P? My local racing shop wants $200.00 for one leather "JDM" style seat. And has any one installed racing seats in a 4 Generation Camry before? If so any problems? I was planning to buy new rims but the rims have no bents and the tread is like new, so I don't feel to spend on rims yet. Any opinions? Thanks guys.
I wouldn't go for anything thats not FIA approved....

Imagine you getting into an accident with those things. I hope you like steel bars going through your body. Don't be cheap, get the better shit.

Yes- stay away from ones from Auto Parts stores and be wise on what you buy/put on... because if you don't, you'll find urself constantly switching parts and wasting a load of money.
Thanks for the comments. Has anyone used seats from other cars such as the Celica or TC Seats. The stock seats are in good shape but I want something that really helps durring turns. I don't want to spend alot of money and a pair looks better then just driver.
Yea people get fooled with the "JDM". I knew they were a cheaper quality but just see the reviews of them.
Go for some nice seats and dont go cheap like everyone else says..
off topic but I really do not like that wing on your camry it looks tacky imo.
I dont think anyone here said to get the cheap seats....
