4th Generation "JDM" Style Racing Seats

I have a question. I am thinking of putting "JDM" Style racing seats in my car. They come with universal sliders and are brand new. Is $225.00 a good price for a set and its a local pick up:P? My local racing shop wants $200.00 for one leather "JDM" style seat. And has any one installed racing seats in a 4 Generation Camry before? If so any problems? I was planning to buy new rims but the rims have no bents and the tread is like new, so I don't feel to spend on rims yet. Any opinions? Thanks guys.

Some picks of the seats.

I wouldn't trust risking my life sitting in those every time I drive.

Get something from a more reputable brand like Recaro, Bride, Sparco or Corbeau

Yes- stay away from ones from Auto Parts stores and be wise on what you buy/put on... because if you don't, you'll find urself constantly switching parts and wasting a load of money.

goodLUCK!

Thanks for the comments. Has anyone used seats from other cars such as the Celica or TC Seats. The stock seats are in good shape but I want something that really helps durring turns. I don't want to spend alot of money and a pair looks better then just driver.

Yea people get fooled with the "JDM". I knew they were a cheaper quality but just see the reviews of them.

seats from a Celica arent much better than Camry seats ... they arent going to help with turns

like i said - get Sparco

if you cant afford them, save your money ... dont spend half the money for 1/4 the quality when you can save for a few months and get the real deal

keep an eye out on hte for-sale section too, people are often selling racing seats for much less than MSRP

if u can get them then later model celica gts seats and Tc seats are great, still comfortable but with better bolsters for support.
