Ok PLEASE HELP ME! I've been searching for this solution for the longest time. I have a 1995 Camry DX with a non-powered antenna. The antenna has to be replaced, the whole thing. Best Buy and other places are offering 40 bucks to do it. Anyone know the process to getting this thing out and installing the replacement? Does the antenna go under the steering wheel or above it? How do I remove everything, etc. HELP!!!!!!
the whole antenna, the mast and the cables. the cables are fed through part opf the dash and into the back of the heaunit. i just dont know what part of the dash or how to do it.
its all in one piece. The antenna cables feed down the left side of the car and i dont kknow if the wires go above the steering wheel behind the main dash. Or if the wires go below the steering wheel behind teh "kick" dash. Understand?
disconnect the HU, unplud the antenna cable, tie a peice of cord to the end, undo the antenna from the outside, draw the cable all the way out, tie the cable from the new antenna to the cord that was tied to the other end, pull it from where it still comes out of the dash ( this will draw the new cable into the same route as the old) Plug it into the HU, install the mast where it is supposed to go and you are done. Really not that hard.

Yes i am aware of that way of doing it. The only problem is the cable is connected to a clip somewhere under the dash or kick dash. I just dont know which one. Plus i dont know how to get off my kick dash/dash. Which way does the antenna go?
When I replaced mine last summer the antenna wire ran behind the guage cluster; it was held in place by a couple of clips, then it snakes down behind a bunch of crap to a tiny hole on the driver's side a bit lower than you'd expect it to come out. There are also a couple of clips under the a-pillar that will need to be tended to as well. It was time-consuming but there are harder things to do out there

I actually just installed it a week ago. Once i figured out the cable run under the steering column it was pretty easy from there. Total install time took about 1 1/2 hours.
Does anyone know where I could find a non-powered antenna for a 95 camry? All I seem to find are powered ones. It;s the one that comes out the top of the cab near the drivers side door.
Also, It's a 1&1/2 hour install? That's way more than I expected.
Go to your local toyota dealer and order one. Its about 30-40 dollars. Its an OEM part, I couldn't really find any aftermarket parts to replace it. I took an hour and a half because I didn't know what I was doing.

I ordered mine online from advanceautoparts.com. I don't remember the exact price, but it was less than 20 bucks shipped. It fit perfectly, no problems at all.
