Alright, well I ordered a motor mount set off ebay. I replaced the front motor mount (one in front of exhaust manifold), however now the vibration is even worse. Now I know that I still need to replace the rear mount and the dog bone one, but mainly my question is is this normal for it to vibrate even more after just replacing one of the three damaged mounts? sorry if this is a newb question but this is the first time for me replacing motor mounts and just want to make sure I didnt install the front mount wrong...
well I was just outside trying to tighten it, it almost seems that I can turn the top bolt for forever, even tho it takes all my strength to. also, after i turn the top bolt the internal part of the mount sorta twists back a 1/10 of a revolution after taking off the wrench, if that makes any sense. After dinner Im going to try to tighten down the bolts connected to the frame just to make sure about those. I hope that fixes it, but I really do think I have them tightened as much as they can go.
thanks for the suggestions, wish me luck.

Be careful about overtightening. Use a torque wrench.
The quality of non-OEM mounts can be very bad compared to a dealer part. A lot of this stuff off Ebay tends to be cheap Chinese parts that are worthless, especially the Camry stuff. Then again, if your other mounts are bad, the difference between this mount (assume it will be stiffer) and the old one may change the resonances enough to cause the new vibration.
well its vibrating bad cuz I can not get the top bolt tightened, i think i damaged the bolt, the bolt never gets tightened all the way. Maybe I stripped the threads or something? I dunno. What would be the best way of getting a replacement bolt? Junk yard maybe, or dealership?
When you purchased the mounts, did you check to see if they were solid or hydraulic-filled? Supposedly OEM were hydraulic-filled, and if you picked up a set of solid mounts (they're a bit cheaper) supposedly there's a bit more vibration felt through the chassis afterwards.
I've replaced all my mounts, with the front and rear supposedly hydraulic-filled, and I still have what looks like excessive movement with my engine, and I get the annoying vibrating sound when I'm sitting at a stoplight with the a/c running.

yea, do not buy motor mounts off ebay from suautoparts. These parts are so low quality the threads in the top insulator bolt hole on the front mount came clean off after trying to torque it. So I went to the dealer and got the oem parts and now my car is smooth as silk. learned my lesson the hard way!
FYI cheap motor mounts cause more vibration due to their stiffness...
i had midas replace my mounts on the rolla with cheap ones from thailand and at idle its like a massage chair and the engine noise has increased a lot and at high rpms it sounds kinda like a weaknascar inside the cabin...
OEM is best for engine mounts...dont cut corners on this stuff.
i think they may have limited models on hand but give your local store a call. they will probably sell for different prices at different stores anyways.
Or if your cars is like way over 100K miles you could get a monroe quick strut - i've heard some good things about it. Its basically a strut and spring package, kind of like coilovers but it doesnt lower the car. That would give a vehicle renewed handling.
I hate to promote a competitor to who I work for, but I know that Advance used to carry kyb shocks and at least down here they (as well as O'Reillys) sells the Monroe Quick Strut. It's pretty much everything you'd need if you took you spring/strut out as an assembly. All you'd do it remove the old one and bolt this one right in. They run about 200/each, but when you factor in all that you're getting, it's about the same as well at saves time and trouble trying to compress the spring and get the strut mount on their right. The monroe quick struts are designed to replace oem, so they're stock ride height.
