3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
there's always a lot of talk about people getting the es300 fron end on the camry, and i know one guy here on TN tried some time ago, but we never got any news about it.
so has anyone else here actually done it sucessfuly? i know i'd need new fenderes, hood, lights and bumpers but does anyone know about the radiator support and all that junk? anyone know if the fenders may actually bolt up?
i need a new front end anyways and if the shop i'm going to isn't going to mind, i might as well get the front end converted. just wanted to get a few things straightened out here first about parts matching up. peace!

probably the same one i know. he's been working on it for quite some time. i'm just wondering how well does it bolt up, if it even does for that matter. i've been looking at close pictures and it looks like it really should be an easy bolt up. still confused though.

Yes, but for the same cost you can buy a god damned ES 300, and have a thousand upgrades in the process.

toys, so it's not bolt up then? i looked online for prices of pieces and they're just slightly higher than those of camry components...
so what doesn't match up? or is it all just one big pain in the ass?

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.

im with toysrme - why would someone do this? spend money to have the car look like a lexus, but not have any of its perks? might as well tape on a ferrari logo to the grill.
same with the corolla IS300 conversion. its a corolla with IS300 tail lights and trunk - that doesnt make it an IS300.
no offense to adam [who has been in FL, thats why u guys dont see him around ... but now he's back so im guessing he's just busy in the garage] ... but its a worthless conversion and Toys is right
just fix ur car normally

Yea then you also need bumper, hood, fenders etc....
Which is how I have always seen it. By the time you buy all the front-end cladding, you could have bought the lexus to begin with.
