hello everyone. i was wondering if anyone knew the drill bit size needed for the spot welds on the radiator core support. well, this is actually needed for a vcv10 es300, but im sure they have the same size welds. im getting ready to remove the damaged radiator core support with a new one, and would like to know ahead of time.

Depends on what weld tip was used, but a 1/4" or 6mm *should* be a good starting point. If you have it centered up on the spot I wouldn't expect you'd have to go much larger than that, and probably no larger than a 5/16" or 8mm. Should be enough to get the bulk of the nugget out. Also depends on how many layers of body panels were welded. More panels = higher current + higher weld gun pressure, which usually results in a larger weld nugget.

ok, thanks. i figured it looked to be about .25" as well. but just wanted to make sure. any chance there are any diagrams of the weld spots?
