I kno. As soon as I got it on I was like "fuck" now I have to paint the intake.
THat seems like alot more work though?

I just shoved an exacto blade between the emblem and the cover and cut through all the glue(don't pyr up hard or u will bend the emblem). I then masked off the area the glue had covered so I could re-apply it after the paint dried.

If anyone else wants to do this I recommend using a spray on caliper paint. It will look better and dry harder than the engine paint I used.

Oh and there was no sludge build up cause, my car's still a young buck at 81,000 km.
