I Just converted mine last week from R12 to 134b. I purchased a kit from NAPA that came with all the new 134 fittings, o-rings and oil it cost around $50.
The kit was made by Temperature Control - Four Seasons pn: 26245 this same kit should work with your car as mine is a 93 V6.

R12 runs a bit cooler but is now illegal to sell at least in Canada because its effects on the Ozone layer.
134b is its more environmentally friendly replacement, not as effective as R12 but you barely notice the difference.
The two refrigerant can not be mixed and service should be performed by a qualified tech.

Do yourself (and the ozone layer) a favor and have a shop evacuate the R12, then change out the filter/dryer. Evacuate again and use the kit to re-charge using an inexpensive hi/low gauge.
