Hey guys, not normally on the Toyota Forums but my mom recently backed into a neighbor which caused his headlight to come out of alignment. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but all cars are different. If you guys could provide me with the best place to buy a replacement headlight and possibly a headlight replacement write-up that'd be great.

I got a new set for my 92 through eBay, it was a Depo unit. Just type in Camry and headlight, you'll find a lot of 'em. Depo makes nice replacement lights, and given the age of the car will look better than the original lights. You did the guy a favor.

But...
Keep in mind that the DEPO's are much clearer than the OEM headlights (especially if they're 15 years old). If you're only replacing one headlight I definitely wouldn't get a DEPO, it'd look pretty bad. An average aftermarket (or used OEM) headlight off eBay will do a nice job.

True, if it's just one headlight, it might look odd having a brand new and a used one. Keep in mind, I'm not talking about the clear lens Depo, just Depo's replacement OEM units. Mine look perfectly stock, but also look almost new. Again, as you say, non-matched might look odd.

I didn't know DEPO made two different models. Interesting...

Yeah, well I bought new lights on eBay to replace my clouded over originals. Two lights arrived and they were from different manufacturers... one was Depo, the other was... I can't recall. The Depo unit was very nice, fit perfectly, etc. The other was nicely built but wasn't an exact fit (where the grill mounts into the light ass'y, the thread style was wrong). I returned the non-Depo unit and requested a Depo in its place.
This one is probably a Depo, for example... if I were bidding, I'd actually ask the seller if it was a Depo.
As for a write-up to replace the light, it's actually pretty simple. If my memory serves me... Take the grille off with two screws that mount into the headlights... you'll see 'em when the hood is open. Find and remove the screw that holds in the corner marker light and remove it. I think you have to kinda pull it forward to remove it. There are, I believe, four screws that hold the light in, including a stud with a retaining nut over where the corner marker was. Get a 10mm socket, they're everywhere on the Camry including the headlights (you can practically remove 90% of the interior with a phillips head and 10mm socket). Once you've detached the mounting bolts, you'll have to remove the wiring harnesses... they unhook with 1/4 turns. Reverse the process and you're done.
Can anybody tell me if I'm missing something?
