i say you just nitrous it. For the cost of building a turbo you could have enough nitrous fills to last you probably as long as you own the car and won't affect the saleabilty if you ever decide to dump it. It can easily take a 100 shot with new gaskets ans so forth and right there you are sitting at almost 300hp

You're looking at almost 3-4k to build a decent kit with good parts. Then you need to factor in labor if your not doing your own work... another 1-2k
How much boost are you trying to run. Any power goals?
If your using an auto its going to need to be rebuilt or swapped for a 5-spd.

its a brand new tranny installed by me and rebuilt by atomic it has about 300 miles on it but i hate auto so the 5 spd is definitely at the top of the list i want to get over 300 and i just love the turbo sound and scene a blow off valve on my car would be like an orgasm every time i shift so i deff want a turbo id be doing all my own work except boring and i dont even need to bore its a 3.0 so i could just find stonger pistons or maybe fit some from a supra if thats possible, also if put in the 5 spd i will need to tune the ecu for that i dont know much about the stroking or tuning of and ecu so thats what i want to find out

sounds like turbo is what u want to get. once again people arent using this poll feature right, dont poll if u already know waht u want. get the turbo, ur car wont be worth much when u go to sell it anyways turbo, nitrus or stock. personally id swap in a manual first.
well i have an idea of what i want but i want to talk to people who have done this or know about it so they can tell me right on, the ups and downs of it and what they know from past experience, i dont want to build a turbo engine and have it blow the same day or have it not run because of the untuned ecu. see what i mean?
ps anyone who has a v6 turbo camry how did you get your ecu tuned????????

depending on ur setup u can get away with a piggy back system or have to go with a full stand alone EMS. u didnt need a poll to compare the turbo setup to the nitrus. because u have the 3vz u can do either and the engine can handle quite alot of power without any internal modifications.
what u NEED to do is PM toysrme, curry, glitch360, or tonythetiger and ask them. toys has a turbo setup on his 3vz and helped glitch with his so id ask him first since curry and tony have the turbo setup on the 1mz.
and if u havnt already, search. theres losts of postes on this subject and asking whether one setup is better then the other depends on alot of info u havnt given.
