Guys!! I need your help

My sister drives a 98 Camry LE. Someone hit her driver side fender pretty bad that she cannot open the door. The car was on a perking lot when this happenned.. she is very sad about it...

I told her not to pry open the door to prevent any damage to the door. I will be visiting her tommorow and I am going to see if I can Pry the fender out so I can have more room to open the door.

The purpose of this posts is for me to find out if there is anywhere on this forum where I can get some deatils on how to replace the fender. The fender itself is pretty cheap, kinda checked it out on ebay but I am curios to find out if I will have to drop the Bumper to remove the fender and also the hood hinge?

Any ideas or suggetions will be highly appreciated. Thanks Guys!!!

BTW - Based on her description the damege is only on the fender and not on the door.

just did this a few days ago on a 94 model but i'm guessing it should be pretty similar. there are screws below the hood. one is visible and one is near the windshield underneath some plastic. in the case of the 3rd gne camry, the bumper does have to be removed. all the bolts should be straightforard though. wiggle the fender and if you still see some resistance, follow it to find the other bolt.

only problem you may have is that if the door doesn't open far enough, you may not be able to access the bolt that is inside the door jamb. at any rate, good luck!

junkyard fenders can run you at around 50-100 depending on condition and yard. aftermarket would be a fraction of that but oem is still better for fitment, i think.

Exactly... the fitment has to be good and I am not sure how the aftermarket fitment would look like. Anyways I have contacted a few Junk Yards through the web and I am hoping to get some calls today.

Thanks everyone!!
