Canada Camry Parking lights remain on

I have 1992 camry 2.2 4cyl. The parking lights (the ones on the corner) and the rear tail ligth plate number light and the rear corner lights remain on. It does not happen alawys but frequently. Some times i toggle the stack it will go away. I usually take the fuse out for the tail light and shut them off this way. Someone told me to replace the light sensor in the truck it will fix it. But when i remove the taillight sensor the front parking lights are still on. Also how can i access the relay for the tail light do i have to open the whole lower dash board.

The problem could be with the taillight relay. It is located in Junction Box no. 1, which is the left box, under the steering wheel, near the left kick panel. ... A location diagram is given on page 18 of the link here:
http://www.**********s.com/camry/camry94wiring.pdf

Not sure, but there ought to be a single access panel of some sort. This shouldn't require a major disassembly.

... Not sure how the light sensor figures into the problem. Seems more likely to be a faulty relay. ... Maybe just remove it and tap it a few times, see if there is any effect. .... Maybe borrow somebody's relay and try it out to determine if defective.

Does it happen when the car is on? If so its normal for Canadian cars to have Daylight runners all around the car, for example "parking light mode". If it happens when you turn the car off I dont know.......

The problem is there if i start the car or not. I usually take the tail fuse out and it goes away. I then have to put the fuse back in so i can drive the car. The parking lights all the tail lights and the orange fog lights remain on all the time. The stak does not seems to control anything. BUT i do hear a click from the relay when i turn the parking lights on and shut them off.

If the tail light relay does not seem to be the problem, then it might be the Integration Relay, part I13, located under the driver side dash ... see p. 33 of Gen 3 wiring diagram.

The Integration Relay is involved in turning on the tail light relay ... allows current to flow through the coil. ... If you pull the integration relay, first check to see that all metal contacts are clean, and then get a replacement from the salvage yard to confirm the repair.

This suggestion would be a potential fix for the front and rear side marker lights staying on, as well as the license plate lights.

... see pictorial of I13 relay on p. 147 of W.D. ... should have two wires ...one solid green wire, and one green wire with a red stripe.

... might be worth a try.

I have a 93 Camry I just bought and have the same exact problem, I know exactly what you are talking about. It doesn't happen too often on my car, just once in a while, maybe 2-3 times a week.

I too turn the lights on and off a couple times and it seems to turn them off most of the time...sometimes it takes a while. I hear the same click your talking about, but I think thats just normal.

I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Please post back if you figure out exactly what it is. I'm going to try the 2 things suggested and i'll post back as well if I find what is causing this.
