3rd Generation Backwards swap

Okay everyone, here's the deal. By the end of the month, I *should* be driving a 93 v6 5-speed camry. Now, instead of going the DEPO route, I was thinking that I would take my JDM headlights on my 95 and get a 95-96 grille and install that using the ES300 foglight switch I got today. I know that most people go the DEPO route and even do the conversion on the gen 3.5's. I've seen the DEPOs in person and like them, but also really like the integrated foglight in the headlight.

I would just put mine up for sale, but I don't think I can find a JDM 1-piece set for the gen 3's in the price range I got mine for. If I could, then I could justify it, but until then, has anyone ever put a 3.5 headlight(s) and grille on a gen 3? I would think that except from the lining up there might be issues with a gap being on the bottom of the bumper (gen 3.5 have to have the lip on the bumper cut, so I assumed it'd be backwards for a gen 3). If anyone has any experience or can offer their suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

sounds like u got it about right, u could just cut off the small lip off a gen 3.5 bumper and attach it, then repaint if ur really that determined.

Should be straight forward, just there will be a gap under the 3.5 grille on a gen 3 though unless you put on a 3.5 bumper.

BTW do you have more pics of you lights? i wanna see the fogs i love 1 pieces!

well, the gen 3.5 JDM headlights are still two piece like the US ones;

The only difference is that the bulbs are different and instead of a high bulb the housing has a yellow reflector and is the fog light.

I think I'm going to keep them and get a mesh 3.5 grille and do that when I get the car. I have the ES300 switch already and have already created the relay harness to convert the us wiring to the JDM setup (so the one bulb hi/lo works with the two bulb wiring).
