93 V6 PS Pump Leak
Our 93 V6 has a rather significant leak at the power steering pump now... seems like it got worse recently. Anyway, I have the Toyota manuals and I'm wondering about tearing out the pump and doing a minor 'rebuild', in the sense of replacing seals, gaskets, etc. Has anyone done this before with their PS pump? From the manual, it looks like the unit is basically a vane pump, so there is the risk of taking it apart and the vanes falling out. I'll have to be careful about that. Otherwise, any thoughts?
