i found the 2 covers and got all 4 bolts off ... i just tried to plug the alarm brain box in, and the alarm went off

guess i should unplug the battery and read the manual as to which things to plug in first?

Well, that's the first general rule... but, I always say this in response...

i like that motto

i always just do shit, but i have to remember that when im workin on a car its a 12V battery instead of my AA battery items i usually work on

so i should probably be more safe

ok ... i plugged all the wires into the box ... and as soon as i reconnect the battery the alarm goes nuts

and since its 11:30pm and my mom, and all my neighbors are sleeping ... i just left the brainbox unplugged and hooked the battery back up

ill try to plug it in and de-arm it tomorrow when everyone's at work

DO ANY OF YOU GUYS HAVE THE IT/JT3 ALARM SYSTEM INSTALLED IN YOUR CAR?

mine came from the "factory" (i believe the dealership installed it, since the company that makes it is in Florida ... which is where the car came from) ....

i cant get this stupid thing installed - i attach the power [everything else is attached] and the alarm just goes off non-stop, the LED blinks red furiously .... my remote wont disarm it [the remote has a brand new battery] ... and the 3 fuses connected to the brain box of the alarm all look fine

i dont know what else to do - i need to buy a new SPDT switch to connect for the Valet switch since the one that was there, the actual switch piece broke off so i cant flip it up or down, but it should be in the correct position since it was when the system was removed

all the wiring is correct since it hasnt been moved since the brain box was removed

help

3rd Generation

You mentioned in the beginning that it was removed because it was messed up. What was wrong with it then and has that problem been fixed since? I hate to sound like a smart-ass, but I'd wonder why it was taken out in the first place y'know?

Do what I always do, google the alarm (if you can find the make/model # on it) and double-check the schematic.

i googled the alarm - their awful website came out

and it was removed because my mom couldnt start the car [it wont allow ignition if not de-armed] ... but she couldnt start the car because the remote was dead

ive since fixed the remote .... but maybe the receiver on the brainbox wont work now either? idk ... maybe i just have to do some special dance and ceremony before it will install properly

EDIT:
here's a picture incase any of you can get ur hands on info that i dont have ...
