They aren't slow... I get great joy from spanking things at the stop light with my V6. Its also fun to see people's jaw drop because I don't end up at the end of the pack.

i dont know which stock v6 camrys you guys have, but the ones ive been in were pretty slow. i can see modified v6's having some real power, and even a stock gen 6 v6 has some get-up-and-go, but not the gen 3s and 4s ive been in.

in any case, who cares if other people bag on your ride. its your ride, not theirs. if anything, they should be more impressed that you didnt take the easy route and modify a civic.

Exactly. I've came across too many people who bragged to be able to modify their cars just to see a civic with the same aftermarket parts that I've seen on the one before, and the one before, and the one before... Kinda makes you think its as easy as putting together some legos or something

You seen one civic modified you see them all. Turbo kit, hahah we have to make our own kit. Thay have 50 different type of body kits and exhaust systems. We have to be creative and have to make our parts ourselves.

You live in California and you don't know that riced out HonDuhs are like cockroaches? Their everywhere and a dime a dozen.

I rather be different and drive a Camry, then go with the crowd and have my car look like every other HonDuh out there.

Camry really isn't a performace car. I love my 4 door Camry. It's a 99 with a 4cyl. But My 94 Nissan with more then 100K outperforms it. When you floor a camry the transmission downshifts. It's a family car. If you read the history of the carmy it's designed around family. The car comes with a built in carseat option for example. It's not designed for racing.

Civic drivers talking shit about Camrys are like online poker players bragging that they make money at the 5 cent tables.

I don't hate civics, but god do the people who drive them are pathetic. Have fun rolling down your windows and getting cooked out in your own car on hot summer days.

id rather drive my modded camry over any civic, eclipse, 240, GTI, mustang or integra....i perfer to stand out from the crowd with my car, and although its not the fastest, it still always manages to get noticed....
a celica/supra club around here meets up occasionally and they rolled by me last night, and all honked and gave me the thumbs up on my car as they passed....little recognotion like that from people makes up for all the shit i get for having a camry

Yeah all my friends laugh when I talk about Camrys. What I find is that most V6 Camrys are faster than everyone thinks. My cousin has one and smoked a what seems to be a V6 Mustang. Ironicly the Camry was one of the only midsized sedans to come with a V6 5 speed. Other than the Maxima...
