3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
One: Straight aftermarket setup. May need to cut bumpers unless your light is really slim.
Two: Factory fog light bumper and factory everything else. Gen 4 Camrys with factory fogs are really rare - I have only seen a couple on this forum. You could use turn/headlight/fog stalk from an ES300 but you still need to find a place to mount your fog relay.
My vote is on one. I have seen fogs selling for about $70 or such - price varies a lot. Then it's tons of drilling and pulling wires for mounting all the pieces.

I got the first one.. even though the factory fog light looks better but its really hard to get unless you somehow grab one from China/HK. But aftermarket fog light looks good to

vote to One as well. I for a set from walmart for like 30 bucks. still holding well after 3 years. i ll take some pic if you are interested later on
I would probably be interested. I was just thinking of getting some from walmart and mounting them on the bumper somehow. How would I wire that to the battery? I dont have much experience with cars. I just thought it would look really cool with fog lights.
I didnt get to doing mine but i believe it will be a very easy project basically you just need to figure out posistioning and mounting then you just run new wires to the battery with w/e resistors or w/e you need inline if any at all then you just need to wire a switch to turn it on and run it into the cabin. personally i dislike the look of the stock option fog lights so i was going to do an aftermarket one but unfortunately now im going off to college without my car for the year and there is a good chance i wont be driving the camry when i come home so

driver side under shot. front bumper was not drilled/modified at all. drilling/screw is done on that think block of metal behind bumper. you ll need a fairly strong drilling bit

switch, its that metal on/off one. you need to pop that plastic cover and cut a hole (pain in butt) that will fit the switch. as you can see i broke mine into two pieces. i just glued them back together with switch in middle. got the switch at autozone i think or O'rally (sp)
This job is nothing close to what some guys can do up here ahhhhh but i hope it can be a help to you
anyways, Walmart would be the way to go, $40 bucks most.
I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING ANYONE BLOWS UP WHILE USING THIS
nobitanobi and i have a similar setup with the aftermarket.
almost 3 years and i havent had a problem with my lights minus a cracked lens from a rock i guess.
I drilled into my bumper covers - 4 holes - to mount the lights, and secured them with zip ties. =)
I also left the switch outside of the cabin, and just had the fogs turn on every time the headlights turned on.
alright well im gonna head over their right now Do the lights come with evrything you need? Im just still a little clueless on how to wire it but i think i should figure it out.
ive only seen a few gen 4 camrys here with oem fogs....JMSinMD i know has a set that came stock on his
other than that, ive seen the yellow fogs from an ES300 adapted to gen 4's....most auto stores also carry nice aftermarket fogs as others here have stated, but youll need some skinny ones to fit that lower bumper grille, and cutting/drilling is necessary
good luck! post pics after youre finished
