Rear license plate bracket issues **pics, 56k no**

So, I got new plates a couple months ago, and I've had this problem since then. I was taking my old plates off, the front came off fine, and the rear, well, the rear kinda took a beating from me. Just check it out, and tell me how I should takle this. My silly luck.

*This is a really stupidly stupid thing to post, but I am out of ideas and ebay has nothing for me, so I'm just trying to figure this out.*

go to the junkyard, thoes are on almost ever toyota and nearly every car. u shouldnt have a problem finding one. u could just velcro the plate on. industrial velcro would hold up well.

3rd Generation

I had the same thing happen to mine. I ended up cutting a piece of plastic and riveting it onto the spot you are showing. Then, I just used some self-tapping screws to put my license plate on.

That looks just like what my car looked like when I was putting on my plates this past April. All you need is a second clip like you see on the right. It'll be very tight and will clamp onto what remains of the left side, it'll hold just fine. Don't try to take the right one off or you'll rip some of the outer frame off, which is what happened on the left.

Where to buy the clip? Try an autoparts store, take a picture of the clip and show it to them. Or go to the dealer, it must be an OEM item so they'll carry it (probably less than a buck through the dealer).
