GEN 4 Headlights and other ?'s

My 1999 Gen 4 headlights even with Sylvania ultra whites bulbs don't emit near as much light as my father's 2004 or even my mom's 2001. Any one have the same experience? We have also come to the conclusion that the single bulb lamps SUCK. Toyota using the single bulb for high / low combo instead of dedicated independant or additional design is probably a contributing factor the suck magnitude of the lights. I'm looking to just replace the lenses if I can or get different headlight units entirely and replace that way or last resort HID kits. Who got what, where, how much photos, etc.

Also what is the measurements and dimensions of the screw that holds the sensor bracket for the intake piping that you transfer from the lower drivers side of the OEM airbox when installing aftermarket intakes that the airflow, temp , and vaccum and what not sensons are held in place by ?

And I know there are steel brake lines for V6 models but does any one make them for the Gen 4 I4?

PS - with in the next week or so I should be doing my wheels tires and all that jazz from my other thread. Photos soon as it happens.

gen 4 camrys use single headlight units with the crappy lenses and unfortunately there are no aftermarket units for us. gen 4.5 camrys have a bunch more options including clear lenses as well as utilizing dual bulbs and have better output. you will have to search but there are basically 2 methods to change to the gen 4.5 headlights stock or aftermarket one is replacing many of the front parts or a bit of cutting and bending search for the headlight conversion and you should find what you need

haha fog adds to the glare that you already got with the HID's.

i honestly dont know why you guys are thinking that the gen4's lights arent bright...admittedly they arent the best design around - but hey that was years ago.

I would like to note how that the gen3 had single bulb then gen 3.5 had dual bulb...toyota seems to do this with a lot of their models, dunno why.

Mine are fine after i replaced the originals.

You can certainly get some HID's, but because the housing isnt that great, it will cause glare to on coming traffic and the beam is not focused anywhere.

nodrokgam: gen 3 models had seperate bulbs for low and highs just like the 3.5

the signle bulb gen 3 models were the jdm scepter lights that had fog lights in place of the high beams
