3rd & 4th Generation (1992–1996 & 1997–2001)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 1992-1996 & 1997-2001
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Forget about the mounts and stuff, but would the new engine even fit? The Gen3 seems pretty short compared to the tall hoods of the Gen 6, or even the Gen 5.
talk to milt, he was in the process or completed putting the 3mz in. it wouldnt be worth it imo. plus the gen6 is DBW and hella geh. the engine with the most potential in the yota family that can swap in is the 3sgte or turboing the 3vz-fe.
Before you spend all of the money to put that motor in there just slap a turbo on whatever you already have. I went from a 188hp Camry to a 320hp Camry.
