4th Generation Will this muffler fit or even work?

Ok so I was given a muffler from a good friend of mine few days ago. I'm not fimilar with mufflers so I have absolutely no idea if it will fit or if it will even run with my car engine. Because I know muffler will work on I4 only and soem will work on V6 right??

What's even worst is that he forgot the model # of this muffler and so I can't research the details on this. I would right now like to have a new muffler then my stock one but I just can't afford it yet cuz I'm planning to get tints + new gunmetal rims soon. But if this muffler can last for a bit then that be good.

The brand of the muffler is Reactive which I think is a canadian tire brand right? So is it cheap and crap muffler? If its a shitty muffler then I won't install cuz I want to roll in the good stuff :P

But also how loud do you think this muffler could make? I don't want loud to ricer sound I just want a smooth sound.....

Here's a few pics. Maybe some can identify the model for me :P

I have never heard of Reactive mufflers. I have heard of RACTIVE, and those are pieces of monkey shit. But either way, any exhaust shop could mount that up for you. It just might sound like crap.

any muffler like that works with pretty much any engine. I am assuming it has like a 2.4 inch inlet?
Any shop can weld it on for like 50 bucks. And you can always go back to stock, not a big deal.

it looks universal to me so as long as there are no probs with it, it should work perfectly. you can change back to shop but you have to have them cut it off and reweld on the old muffler

any aftermarket muffler will work on any car, you just have to find someone to weld it on and setup the piping for you

Ractive makes some great products, just none for the Camry -- people think Ractive is bad because they buy their cheap racing pedals or various universal products, but ive seen some cars will a full ractive catalog and they were quite nice [RSX Type-S is a popular one]

the reason those sound so great is the cams and the turbo. Plus a nice resonator. Love the sound of subies....

what did it come off of ? what kind of car did ur buddy have and have u heard it ? Ractive makes some good stuff but im not sure about that muffler. It looks universal and u just need to get that welded on.

i think it will look dumb/ricey... just get a nice tip for you exhaust pipe... no point of going loud

you cant imitate the sound of a subaru ... just trust me on this one, dont ask questions

you will never know how your car is going to sound until you try out the setup - which is costly, so choose wisely

IMO, if you want a good all-around sound out of a Camry, and a nice exhaust setup get these 3 things:

+ Hi-Flow Catalytic Converter
+ Long (Glasspack) Resonator
+ Magnaflow, Apexi N1, Veilside muffler .... preferrably double-walled
