another newbee question how do you identify a e153 manual transmission what year camry/ solara does it come in and is it a v6 or not the reason why i ask is i can get one from two place one the junk yard that i have bin getting my other parts told me they can give me one for 200 cus i have bin using them for parts it is from a 2000 camry 4cyl. the other is from one of our own tn member who has a solara that he parting out i assume . my car is a 94 coupe v6

the E153 only came in v6 cars i believe. The solara and the v6 camry

i think the mr2 had the e153 as well. but keep in mind if ur lookin to do a swap then most recomend the e153 from the solara or gen 4 camry due to better ratios for the V6 powerband.
