3rd Generation 1992 Camry turns over, but won't start...

My 1992 LE 2.2 upper radiator hose split at the clamp and spewed liquid all over the engine area near the distributer. I replaced the hose, removed the distributer cap, tried to make certain everything was dry and well connected (it appeared so, but lightly cleaned and conditioned connections with my audio Caig DeoxIT gold G5), but all the engine will still do is turn over, not start. Is there anything else in that general area that would cause the spark to fail? Thanks for any help you might have.

Cracked distributor could cause this. Id remove it and make sure it isnt cracked. The slightest of cracks can be the culprit. I had a Renault Alliance (please dont flame me..it was my first car) that had a cracked distributor and did the same thing.

Take a look at the inside of your distributor cap. If you see an oxide coating on the metal spark plug electrodes, inside, then get a new distributor cap. ... Much better starting and performance. ... In an emergency, you could just scrape the electrodes with a knife, or get some sandpaper, but a new cap would be better.
