3rd Generation parking break woes

i have a 96 v6 Camry. lately i have been getting alot of noise from my parking breaks, its a loud screeching noise like the shoes are not disengaging. i took them apart and oiled them and yet they are still sticking. i adjusted the shoes still no help, i try and put the parking break on and go in reverse and forward and then release but no change.

basically there is no shoes left now on the parking break i have looked around and can not find any replacement shoes. i am about ready to just take out the shoes.

any suggestions will be helpful

Maybe the sticking is along the cable and not at the shoes. Rust maybe?

^ what he said...if there aren't any problems at the hub side, then check the brake pedal and all lines

also, how is the shape of the rotor itself?

and the only place you can find those shoes is oem

make sure you check the lines, and esp the brake pedal...
does the sticking feeling come from the pedal? orr do you feel the brakes themselvs sticking?
