4th Generation To take out headlights

Ok, so im going to do a retrofit soon and this will be my first time to do this project with a friend. I'm following leauseauce DIY as I got the same projectors as he did (thanks to bigbird for selling me his). Now before I can start doing the oven and drilling and everything. The most hard part is getting out the headlight itself haha. First question is.. do I have to take out the front bumper to take out the headlight and if I do where should I begin? This is difficult cuz I just replaced my front bumper less than a month ago and I dont want to screw up with anything. Anyways, any other way to take out the headlight that wont damage anything?

Thanks

I believe you only need to unscrew few bolts around the headlight to get hte whole thing out. I highly doubt you have to touch the bumper.

there are 4-6 black 6-point bolts ... all the same size .... around the headlight housing

you have to remove the corners to get at 2 of the bolts .... the entire black housing with the headlight will come off easily once those bolts come off

i just did this last week, i dont have any pics or anything cuz im still on vacation, sry

it's no big. pop open the hood, take out the corner lights and you'll see all the screws you need to take out.

2 on top, 1 on the side.

Also, there is a knob still holding the headlight in place near the grille on each headlight:

use pliers to press the nubs and pull the headlight so itcan ease out.

You just need to look and it will make sense. I didn't need to look for detailed pix to figure it out when I took mine out. I've must have done this a thousand times by now.
