what cleaner should I use...*pics*

Alright I was driving back from the airport I hit a tire tread that was made airborne by a van going over it. It made a nice line raise in my bumper from where it it, but anyway what cleaner is best to get off the black rubber marks?

Goo Off WILL get anything off on the outside of your car.

I personally like to use any alcohol based "spot remover". Even some types of degreasers will do the job, such as Goo Gone mentioned above. If they don't work, maybe a light compound applied by hand will work, which should be available at your local autoparts store.

Compound should get most of the lighter tire makings off. Some of the heavier ones might require some soap and a clean towel.

Mr Clean Magic Eraser. Quick and easy. Used it on the wife's 02 after someone in the parking deck gave her a love nudge with left behind paint getting their monster SUV out of the spot.

WD40?

When i got my car someone had sprayed spray paint, gold coloured, across the front. Probably some idiot. Used a bit of WD40 and it came right off.

I agree with eye8pussies. I would use a good cleaner wax like the older Meguiers Cleaner Wax in the maroon can. Always start with things that are designed to be used on your car's paint, and also are the least abrasive.

I detail autos and a good rubbing compound like turtle waxes version will help.
I use a mineral spirit based liquid carnuaba wax, and that will get any tar or rubber residue off fast.
