Question Cold cathodes in headliner question.

Well, since this is such a great forum, and i'm fairly new to the sport i figured i'd ask for some input. I recently replaced my trunk light with a pair of the 12" cold cathode tubes and i'm absolutely thrilled with the result. I'm so thrilled that i got to pondering whether or not something like this can be done in the cabin of the car to replace the dome light. I came to the conclusion that i could get another set of the cathodes and mount them in the headliner. My only problem now is that i don't know how i should cover them, as the result will amount to two 12" holes in my headliner. I was thinking of using something like what has been used in old cadillacs and lincolns; a plastic cover of sorts that could just be attached to the headliner. BUT...I can't seem to find these anywhere. If anyone has suggestions please do share. Thank you in advance.

P.S., i will probably be posting the DIY in the near future.
