well then I guess its about time i got my timing belt changed, i'm slowly creeping up to the 96k km, Toyota is charging me $300 for timing belt (labour and parts) and $200 (labour and parts) for the waterpump good deal?

Yes I agree its a decent deal. I work for toyota, and we charge 199 for t belt parts and labor and aprox 240 additional for water pump. that includes parts and labor. dont forget there is a possibilty it may need a cam or crank seal, and even an idler or tensioner.
