4th Generation Where to put ground?

I've used a 12V tester on my trunk and cant find a suitable ground.

Where is everyone grounding there amp on the camry?

I was thinking of just using one of the rear seatbelt bolts. Any thoughts?

You have to sand off the paint first. I put mine through a hole in the metal under the little plastic cover on the edge of the pass through, it's been working great. The seatbelt bolt would probably work fine too but I don't like to mess with that stuff. put anything safety related back exactly how it was IMHO!

drill a hole thru the metal on one side of the pass thru (or wherever you want to ground it) and run a bolt thru the metal. Use lock washers on top and sand, scrape, or wire brush the paint away to get down to bare metal. You can use seat belt bolt, but it is sometimes a bit rough to get the wire held down tight. Its much easier to just drill a seperate bolt wherever you want it (assuming that you can get to the backside of where you put the bolt to tighten it).

Yup, I mention there because its easy to get to both sides of the metal to clamp the bolt down good and tight (without having to climb under your car). There are also 3 unused threaded holes in the underside of the rear deck in my gen4, if you can find something like that all you need to do is sand and bolt that baby up. That is how I attached my 0 awg ground under the hood (there was an empty threaded mount under the battery tray).
Hope this helps.
