SRI question

Hi, I have question regarding the sri i have for my camry. what I did was removed the air filter box and replace it with a aluminum pipe that connect to the cone air filter, then I connnect the pipe to the stock rubber intake pipe and use the tape to tape around the aluminum pipe to the rubber pipe. The aluminum pipe feel hot whenever I drove back from school. Is this indicate that the engine is suckin hot air?

the engine is going to suck in hot air regardless, especially during the summer

but no, everything under the hood is going to warm up if youre driving....

if ya dont want it to suck up hot air then u can make a CAI. still wont give u any gains but just gives peace of mind.
