I would think so, it really wont fit right or even close if the sides arent cut yet... I did the same thing to test fit when I got mine and had the same problem, you should be fine...

Personally, I think tony, alex, and king are the only ones I have seen pull off the gen 3 IMO, just because they have the power to boot... Brett's also looked good because his car was black and it made the lip a bit more subtle. It definately is pretty wild compared to the conservative 3.5, but it is also functional, which is a plus to the fast guys
