wheel wobble / vibration

Hello All,
I have a 1999 Toyota Camry 4Cyl Automatic. My front wheels wobble between 15 to 25 mph then straighten up. Then around 50 mph the front end begins to vibrate. I am afraid to go faster than 60 mph.

Has any one else ever experienced this problem? Please chime in.

??! I'd be afraid to drive it at all. VERY afraid. You better check to make sure your lug nuts are secure and tight ASAP. It's very unusual for BOTH wheels to exhibit something like this. Are you sure it is both?

Possibility

1. Make sure all lug nuts are tight

2. Do a rotation and balancing of all 4 wheels

Well, on another car I had similar problem ... when the frame was broken.

Could be almost anything: lug nuts, tire balance (I've heard from my friend with wrong tire ballance he could not drive faster then 50 mph), strut mount, bearings.

So get it checked.

Clarity

That "small silver thing/wheel balancer" is in fact wheel weights that are applied to get the correct balance. Sometimes the easiest way to solve a problem is to start off small. I have people calling me ALL the time, telling me their towing their cars in because the starter/alternator/etc needs to be replaced. I tell them to replace their battery first and then we'll go from there. Most people listen, the ones that don't have a tow bill, diagnostic fee and the cost of parts/labor of a new battery. $320 vs. $80? Easy choice in my book.
