4th Generation Cel On!

So I Installed A Sri According To One Of The Diy's On The Diy List A Few Weeks Ago I Know I Read Sumthin About Pple Get Cel's Every Once In A While With The Sri. I Have A Gen4 4cyl. I Didnt Get The Code Read Yet Im Gonna Go To Autozone Tomoro But In The Mean Time Any One Have Any Ideas Wut Could Be Causing This?

try resetting your batt. unplug it.

there is a change in the air/gas ratio. Your car's computer noticed that and most likely the CEL came on.

I doubt it would have caused a 10% change in LTFT...that is the minimum for setting a p017x code. my bet is it's something else, post up the code when you get it...

they tell a po420 code at autozone it was a dumbass kid who didnt know wut he was doin so he didnt tell me causes he just told me the code so im relying on you guys thanks in advance

PO420 is a catalytic converter efficiency code. The ECU monitors the front and rear oxygen sensors for a difference in waveform to determine if the catalytic converter is operating normally. When the rear sensors output looks similar to the front, it is an indication that the catalyst is failing, and PO420 is set. Generally when this code is set alone it is indeed indicative of a failed catalytic converter, but should still be diagnosed to rule out any other possibility given the cost of the part. The test is pretty simple, and any technician with a scan tool that can monitor O2 sensor waveforms can get it done.
