5S-FE JDM swap

Hey guys I searched for a minute not very long. I am looking for a quick answer.

I have a Camry 1996 5S-FE it has a Crank Sensor
The JDM motor I got doesnt have one. I was wondering if that will effect anything and can it be bypassed. It looks like the actual cranks would have to be swapped.

I already have the JDM motor in and I am not getting fire. I was wondering if I need to pull the motor out or can this be bypassed. Also can this cause "no spark" and if not how will the motor run with out the crank sensor when it was meant to have a crank sensor

With your '96 being OBDII, I think you might need the crank sensor to keep the ecu happy. There are a couple of others who have done the JDM swap, please search a little more and I think you'll find your answer. Did you have a shop do the swap for you? Per my understanding, there's quite a few things that have to be swapped over from your old engine onto the JDM engine in order for it to run correctly.

no i did it. I swapped afew thing EGR stuff. oil cooler etc.
