4th Generation gen 4 ignition light help please

Its a 99 LE.
I cant get to the light bulb for the ignition. I took off the plastic under the dash where the fuse and etc are. I couldn't reach the light and the metal plate thats there seems like it wouldn't help alot to get to the light. Is there away to take off the plastic panel around ignition(i tried to get it off but it would come out i thought it was gonna break) or should i be able to get to it by taking the metal plate off.

Thanks in advance

Most cars require that you remove the combination meter to change warning lights.

I just did it a couple of days ogo. You have to pull hard. There are at leat 3 clips. I thihnk you have to pull the inner dash part out too. Take the stereo trim off and the center console part apart and pull it back a couple of inches.
