Proper tire pressure for 205/55/16

I am using 205/55/16 size tire on my 94 Camry V6. They are directional tires, so I rotate them every 6000 miles between front and rear (not left & right). I noted the tires wear more on the outter and inner edges suggesting that the pressure might have been too low which I always keep at 32 psi. So what is the corrected pressure. I've seen posting from the site ranging from 35 to 50 psi. One other question, where do you measure the tire's thread depth? Thanks for your input.

Thanks for your inputs. It states 41 psi max on the tire. So I increase the tire pressure from 32 to 35 psi.
