PS axle keeps popping out

I have a 96 2.2 liter camry LE. I just changed the PS axle for it and My passenger side axle keeps popping out because i do not have the clamp that goes into the rear motor mount bracket around the bearing. Does the axle pop out because the clamp is not in there? Some guy changed the axle for me and I was pretty sure he put the clamp back in there. The thing is I think that it might of fell out becuase i heard a noise driving it and than a little while later the axle pops out on me. Or it could have not been put in right because I dont think it should have popped out had it been in there right. If I do buy another clamp to put in there, is there any procedures I should follow to make sure its not going to come out on me again?

Also, I have the small bolt that goes on the bracket but it seems like it doesn't do shit because the axle is not staying in place.

wait...so is the axle coming out of the bearing, or is the bearing+axle popping out of the mount?

yeah, that spring clip helps hold the axle in. altho i dont know how the hell its moving that far out to pop out in the first place. check your control arm bushings. and order that srping clamp or pull one from the junkyard.

yea the whole axle is popping out. I don't understand how that clamp can hold the azle in place though in place though. It seems like there isi something else. I put the hung nut and the pin in. And I put the bolt on the bottom of the motor mount bracket back on with the rubber peice.

yeah my differential fluid is low because some guy at autozone gave me the wrong stuff and gave me the wrong amount. So I only put a quart in there. I'm gonna change the differential fluid ASAP before I drive the car. I've already driven 50 miles on it though. Autzone said that there going to give me a 25 dollar gift card and give me everything I need to replace the fluid again.
