3rd Generation wanna cool down the motor without hurting it

i have a short ram right now and in stead of getting a cold air i just figured out something new to me. i took out the driver corner light and when i drive espeacially at night the air goes throught the pocket and directly into the intake there is no way water can get through. im not sure if this is old but its new to me! i can feel and hear the extra power maybe only 2-5 hp but hey i didnt spend a dime!

That makes sense...

But then you dont have a corner headlight anymore I think i'd prefer upgrading that stock air filter pipe that takes air from the front of the car, and positioning it a little better.

Sooooo ricey IMO unless you have a sub 13 second car and only at the track.

BTW - You aren't cooling the engine, you are cooling the intake air temperatures.

lots of cars with like turbos do that for 1/4 mile runs except they take out the headlight as well. not a good idea on a non track car imo

Isn't it illegal to run without a corner lamp?

Btw, if it's lowering the temperature of your coolant gauge, something is wrong with your car.

its not illegal the corner light doesnt even put out that much light anyways the signal light matters alot of cars use their corner lights as signals, that wat makes it illegal, so i guess thier is something wrong with my car, my temp gauge is alittle lower than average, if you leave ur heater on full blast ur temp will drop, plus it will go back up later. try it tomorrow at night (works way better) and after driving open ur hood and feel the intake/ battery are im my car its really cool and i live in texas heat plus humidity kills hp!

Drawing in cooler air can't hurt, since the intake also brings in air. I can pop out corners really easy on my car. I guess I will try this. LOL.
