Is this one of the cheap ebay kits? I bought a $99 one last year for my previous car, and I had to do that same thing every time I started up my car.
It could be the fact that your harnesses are starting to fail, or maybe the ballast is too hot or got wet?
i was looking into just spending the money and get a real kit. any one ever hear of a company by the name of maculoch i think it was. no mine doesnt have relays but the kit i was lookin at does so i guess its a better kit
McCulloch is going to be a conversion kit also. They are a reputable company, and expensive.
Relays don't indicate a better kit, but for the 400 dollars or whatever they cost, they better be damn good (It will be better than that Ebay kit x1000)...
instead of paying more, just learn how to use relays and add them in yourself. Relays only cost a few bucks. Once you understand it, it's not hard to see how to use them.
But if you really are gonna pay $400 for this Mculloh or whatever, just get OEM, such as Hella. You pay the same for realiable ballasts and high quality parts.

Exactly, for $400, you can go for a real HID set, ballasts and bulbs from Philips. You just need to mod your headlamp to accept D2S bulbs or do retrofit.
You would want to put in a wire harness that has a relay on it, that should solve the problem as mentioned above.
