Hi,

I've just put a child seat in my car. The seat's user's manual suggests (for additional safety) to attach the top of the seat to the "anchor bracket" in the car. I beleive that the anchor brackets are not standard accessories in this car, but I'm pretty sure I found the places where they should go in. So my questions are: are the "anchor brackets" in the car? If not, can I buy them and put them in? If yes, where would I buy them? (Maybe Toyota dealer?)

my '96 doesnt have anchors for my car seats. i dont think they came standard in cars until 2000. if you were to buy anchor brackets, they would probably have to be welded or bolted to the metal structure in that back ledge (assuming there is something strong enough to attach on to). personally, i think the seat belts work well. i would be more worried about using anchors that were not factory.
