EGR Modulator filter removal - How???

My 96 4 cylinder is stalling, so from prior threads I'm going to use the sea foam and clean the throttle body. But, in the manuals provided in this forum, it also says to clean the filter in the EGR vacume Modulator, and even shows a drawing of it, But, how do you get it apart? Does it screw or must you pry it off? I do not want to screw it up.

Also, can you clean the EGR valve without removing it, and if so, how? Thanks.

fro the modulator you should be able to pop the top off of the modulator and the filter should be right there

cleaning egr parts

That doen't tell me much, Creeps. HOW does it pop off/ Mine does not want to come off easily. Where do you pry it? Can I squirt the sea foam into the outlets of the egr? Will it do any good?

Umm, its should just pop off, pull it hard enough and it should come right off, and i dont think squirting seafoam in there would be a good idea
