AC refill - ports location?

Hi,

I ned to refill the AC, and I need your help wit the location of the port where I should fit the freon charging hose connection. it shouls be done on the pipe leaving the evaporator and entering the compressor, right?

The line between the evaporator and the compressor is the low pressure line, so yes, that is where you should fill.

Just make sure you're not confusing the evaporator with the condensor.

it is the left pipe? or the right pipe?

left or right pipe when looking at the engine (front to rear direction)

Where is the connection port located on the pipe? Engine compartment? Where the pipes enter the interior of the car?

I'm almost 100% positive that it's the one on the left, near the firewall, which is near the belt.

firewall?

the a/c compressor faces horizontally .... the firewall is way behind the compressor, neither on the left nor right

yup...that's the low side on our systems- near the rear of the timing belt covers

Yeah..my dad and I just did this to mine last month and it's a b***h to get the R134a port converter on it tight with a wrench. Up there on the passenger side next to the firewall there is NO room to swing a wrench!
