I bought 96 camry Le 5sfe 4 cylinder does not come with Keyless...can you tell me information (what model) where you get the keyless and how much? never trust saleman(dealership) because they promise to send me a keyless after i got the car...two weeks i call back, they say keyless (loss or misplay) some where...
It has a factory model keyless so the 96 'should' have keyless access if it has power doors.
It's called BAB237131.
They're all over the internet. They're very expensive though and a lot of places want nearly 100 for them. I was lucky to find a used one online for 45. Try looking around.
send me a pic of your remote and i can get you the programming instructions at work monday....

Has anyone has instruction how to programming model BAB237131 keyless remote? my email is an_hello2000@yahoo.com
thank you for sharing the instruction.and i want to get a keyless remote for a long time on my 96 Toyota Camry Le 4 cycylinder 5sfe engine.. please help me!
in 96 most of the keyless was toyota tds system. A square remote one button and had TDS written in red on the remote. Look at the kick panel on the driver side and there should be a small toggle switch down there for programming and vallay mode selection. No switch no tds. If your remote was kinda oval and attached to the key then you have securikey+ which is my favorite system, but not very common on 96 most were 97 and up
Huh sorry but do you mean you can just buy a factory remote and program it and it'll work right away? Why do people buy aftermarket remote starters and such then?

Sounds like you are pretty knowledgeable on the security systems, so maybe you can help me. I have a very late '96 Camry (purchased late August 96) with factory-installed V.I.P. RS3000 (oval remotes) system. The piezo chirper stopped working some time ago, so it's not always easy to know if I'm setting or releasing the security system - particularly during bright days when it's difficult to see the lights flash. The system works as it's supposed to in all other respects. My problem is that since the piezo no longer sounds off, I can't locate it to check whether it works when direct current supplied to it. Any idea where they mounted that part?
