I haven't done it myself but it can't be that hard. I'm pretty sure after you get the panel off the door, it's a matter of taking the old one out and putting the new one in.
pull the door panel. then you will have to remove the back window run so that the latch will come out. It is bolted to the inside of the door directly in front of the latch. I replaced lots of them. Have silicone spray lube handy so the rubber will slide easily in and out of the metal run.
Dear god don't f*** with those things i have to open my door from the inside now... That Metal rod broke that connects it to the handle broke...getting in my car is a real pain....

oh cmon now those are not that bad, i can do one in about an hour. Just take your time, and remember sometimes finesse is better than brute force....lol

I know the feeling... I take the door panel off just sitting there trying to figure out how to get to the damn thing and now mentioning the window just made it worse

well i would say take it to your local toyota dealer. Should be about 2 hrs labor. Here it would be about 120.00, but I don't know what the labor rate where you are is.
