ok so im planning to buy the k sport springs and drop the cam 2 inches, im worried that im gonna drag the whole exhaust out from under it... anyone have that problem or any hints to tell the shop how to get it up and clear?
shouldn't have a problem, unless...you are in an area of horrible roads and many speed bumbs...i have my camry dropped to like 4 inches off the ground, and the only thing i hit on is if im going too fast over speed bumbs or into parking lots or anything

im sitting stock height and hit onspeed bumps around here...lol i guess they grow everything big in tx...lol
i wouldnt be so worried except when i had the thrust turbo put on they left it hangin a little low it seemed, guess ill take it back and ask them to fix it but didnt know if there was something to watch out for.
oh ok lol...i thought you were talking about something else...well what i did was made my piping go under the rear suspension, and right where it comes out i made a right angleish pipe that i tucked up...and as you can see in my sig, it makes the muffler angle down a little..i also tucked it under the bumper just a tad, i only hit the muffler once in a while...i hit the front and under the middle a lot more...i looked ttoday after nailing a gate rail at work and left a nice dent in my exhaust piping lol...i tried to be careful...but anyways, the muffler just flexes a little and gets a small scratch on the bottom of the tip of it if i hit...i always leave EXTRA space when backing up anywhere though, if i hit it like that, that could be bad...

mines not so bad for hanging down, i didnt want the big coffee can under there or a big 'super copilot' tip. just something a little more free flowing and nicer sounding then stock, sadly i didnt get this pic taken in a way that you can see the pipe...lol
just dont wanna drop it and have a problem and have to drive the 2 blocks to the muff shop on three wheels...
ur gonna have clearance problems if u drop 2 inches period. not big problems but its somthing u WILL have to get used to. ull just have to watch for big speed bumps, steep entrances and exits. and get used to the fact that every once in a while, ur gonna hear somthing scrape. my gen3 is lowered about 2 and even when im careful i do scrape on things from time to time.
taller tires are a god way to get hight and id advise stiff shocks to prevent teh car from scraping durring bound.
I am just starting to tune my camry, I've done a lot of civics, but now its time for my car, I wanted to know, was the Eibach coilover kit worth it, Its only 1 inch, but hey, something better than nothing.
well i been looking at ksports(1.8 drop), mostly cause i can get em pretty cheap, but then i can get drop zones cheap as well, my whole plan for my car is doing only things i can do or learn to do, and doing it with a good balance between price and quality. if i wanted dirt cheap id chop the springs, if i had a ton of cash id go for coil overs or actually id more likely bag the beastie. i dont plan to race, or auto cross or anything, i just want a nice clean street beater with a better then stock ride, handling, power and look, without being gaudy.
anyways i may look at going up in the price brackets and go a little less on the drop... i think tein is the next jump after the ksports, sprints, drop zones, canuck, meagan etc. (at least thats how it look in ebay right now) i want enough drop to make a difference in looks and handling but not so much that when i got my kids with me its dangerous. and sadly springs are like tires and oil, gas, speakers, head units, mufflers and other car items, everyone has their opinions on what is best. lol i dont need 'best' just damn sure dont want 'worst'...lol
