4th Generation Brake system warning light

My brake system warning light comes on and off, usually when my foot is off the brakes. Does this mean my brake pads are getting thin or something else is wrong?

Or your fluid is getting low. There is a float inside the resevoir that trips the light if it gets too low.

If the fluid is low...could mean a leak somewhere or could mean pads/shoes getting low.

You were right, the fluid level was too low. It was below the min mark. I topped off with Supertech DOT3 last night and the light hasn't come on at all today.

The only reason that your brake fluid is that low, is usually caused by worn pads, if it is not leaking anywhere~
You better take a look~

^Yepppp, exactly what he said... now when they replace the pads and force the cylinders back into the piston, brake fluid is going to come back out the reservoir... can't tell you how many times that happened to me last year during my brakes class.

Thanks for the replies. There aren't any puddles on the floor so I am going to assume there aren't any leaks but I'll take another look tomorrow. I'm not sure how much pad is left. There was 4-5mm left in the front when I brought it to the dealer for the 90K mi service. That was 10K mi ago.
