Power Window problem

Hey guys, when I move the front driver's side window up, it jumps off the track an inch before it gets to the top. When it gets to the top, there is a 1/4 inch gap between the top of the window glass and the door.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? If so, how can I fix it? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

sounds like a window regulator issue to me. Need to pull the door panel and see whats going on in there.

the same exact problem just happened to me today... but yeah, take the door panel off and have a look at the regulator.

My problem was that a screw holding the window to the regulator was too tight. I just loosened it a little bit and now it works perfectly.

you could have a cable binding or broken in your regulator. Make sure all the bolts are still in the regulator holding it correctly to the door, and glass. Check the front and rear window runs be sure they are in place correctly and the window is channeled correctly inbetween the rubber in the runs. If all looks normal chances are you just need a regulator.
