1998 camry jerking problems

So i had a PO125 code on for the past few years on but the car ran just fine so i didnt bother fixing it but now its driving me nuts. I was told that the O2 sensors were at fault. I relpaced the downstream O2 sensor and recently i replaced the Upstream sensor but i got the universal one. Since i replaced the upstream sensor the car started jerking while accelerating and the RPS at idle won't stay at 800. It idles lower then 800 and its not constant. It keeps moving up and down. I reset the check engine light many times but keeps coming back. I dont know what the problem is now.

That code has to do with your coolant temp, maybe faulty coolant temp sensor?

most people assume that right away but its not the coolant temp sensor or its low coolant. Its usually has to do with heated O2 sensors. We figured our problem yesterday. The O2 wansnt good enough as an universal O2 so we are going to get a stock O2 and just see how it goes from there.

^You have just learned an important lesson. Just use what is recommended by the manufacturer right out of the box and you will have a 99% less chance of things going wrong. Welcome to TN!
