Unhappy whats wrong with my car???

ok...just recently while i was driving i started to hear this noise....not sure but it seems to be coming from some where on the drivers side...more towards the head panel.....what it is....oh and the best way i can describe the noise is.........turn on a fan and stick a paper in it......thats the noise....the more i step on gas...the more i hear the noise.....but sometimes i dont hear anything....what is it??....is it dangerous????

btw...my car is a v6 gen3 camry thnxs guys...

whats the head pannel? firewall? chaeck first to make sure ya dont have any crap wrapped around your front axel. if thats ok then its possible its an exhaust leak.

what i meant by head panel is where you have your rpms....mph.....and all that junk....
exhaust leak???..........is that dangerous.......and how would i fix that, if it is the....and should i still be driving it???..or try and fix the problem.....cus im a student and i work too ..so driving is a must....but thnx for your replies guys....

Do you hear the noise if the car is not moving and you are revving the engine a bit?

From the location you are describing, could the noise be coming from the speedometer cable? This would make a light sounding tick, tick, tick that would increase as the car moved faster.

I doubt it would be the speedo cable, since our cars don't have speedo cables. All the gauges are electronic. It's all wires and sensors, no cables.
