low end grunt with an 2.2AT?

i know somewhere in here ill hear 'swap out the at for an mt' maybe down the road but for now im staying auto.oh and same for sell it and get a v6...lol i know those would be optimal, just not feasible right now.

now the question i have is my car just depresses me right off the line, once i hit about 3 grand its off to the races, but right out the chute its got nothing, in fact it worries me when i have to cross 2 lanes of hiway traffic at times. i need a little more off the line, at this point anything would help. ive added the freer flowing muff and a sri, so now i need to find something short of power braking to get her moving. any advice (except the obvious and aforementioned at-mt swap) would really help.

also do they make a shit kit and or stall converter for these AT? and has onyone tried putting in a b&m or other aftermarket shifter in the camry? i really miss my old slap sifter with the 8ball knob...lol

Well... you could do a custom stall torque converter...
